Jean Byron was an American actress born on December 10, 1925 in Paducah, Kentucky. She is best known for her roles in television, particularly for her recurring role as Natalie Lane, the mother of Patty Lane on the popular sitcom "The Patty Duke Show" which aired from 1963 to 1966.
Byron began her acting career in the 1940s and appeared in several films and television shows throughout the 1950s and 1960s. In addition to her role on "The Patty Duke Show", she also had guest starring roles on popular television shows such as "Perry Mason", "Dr. Kildare" and "The Twilight Zone".
After "The Patty Duke Show" ended, Byron continued to work in television, appearing in shows such as "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" and "Baywatch". She also had a successful stage career, appearing in productions on Broadway and in regional theater.
Jean Byron passed away on February 3, 2006 in Mobile, Alabama at the age of 80. She left behind a legacy of memorable performances and contributions to the entertainment industry.
